I scheduled a hair cut over the phone with James for 10:30am the next morning. I arrived on time the next day and wasn’t greeted by the barber staff. One young barber had an attitude and asked me if I had needed help. He probably assumed that I was an African lady because of my hair wrap and my appearance. I told him that I had an appointment with James at 10:30. He walked to the barber area and then lied claiming that he thought that I had a 1pm appointment; I said no,my appointment is for 10:30am. Well,then he said James is finishing up a customer’s hair and will cut your hair next. The barber then ordered me to sit across to the women’s salon side instead of directly in the barber’s waiting area. So I sat and waited for 45 mins and watched two male customers exit the barber side and then two more male customers came in for their haircut. Only one female stylist had greeted me hello. The barber saw me waiting and deliberately ignored me. Then he took in the two new customers for their haircut. Apparently they didn’t want to cut my hair and had poor customer service. I grabbed my purse and walked out in disgust.the salon overall seemed snooty and was not accommodating at all to me. I will never return there ever again.
I found Salon Duo to have a very warm and friendly atmosphere. My appointment was with Paula, a professional and confident stylist. Paula was very attentive to my hair goals and completed them to my satisfaction. Dee Dee washed & colored my hair and she was also professional and friendly. The whole team showed care for the customers (even helping a client who needed assistance walking). I look forward to my next hair care appointment with my favorite stylist, Paula.
These guys should have their own show on ESPN. No matter the sport, no matter the year, these guys are talking shop with knowledge. Always have a great time when I get my haircut here. Been going to Donnie for years and I will never go anywhere else.
I'm so pleased with my hair. I have locks and I don't let anyone touch my hair. But due to unforeseen circumstances I can't do my hair anymore. So I made and appointment with Mo. She did such a wonderful job. She is a keeper.
My son got his twists done by Savanna at Salon Duo and she did an excellent job. Good music, professional staff and Covid-19 safety protocols were all followed.
